WHAT WE DO

CXC biosciences is a biomedical device research and manufacturer, focused on more integrated tissue regeneration through more holistic cell niche design. Founded in 2022, we develop a range of tissue scaffolds, growth factors and synergistic devices to better deliver and sustain natural healing cascades.

CXC biosciences technology is based on growth factor-based stem cell homing and attachment at key injury sites.

GAP

CXC Biosciences is a runner up in the 2022 Gauteng Accelerator Program in the medical category, securing incubation and funding

PRODUCTS

Tendons

Tendon tissue often is scarred following injury, with cross-fibered collagen microstructures becoming prevalent in the repaired tissue. This leads to reduces strength and higher likelihood of reinjury.

CXC Biosciences scaffolds are uniquely engineered to maintain correct internal three-dimensional geometry of tendon tissue, with propriety growth factors encouraging supporting angiogenesis and tenocyte formation.

Dermal

Skin damage often has lasting effects be it with visual scarring or restrictive “tightness” of the skin. CXC biosciences produces a dermal matrix for use in a number of skin substitute procedures. Our dermal matrices are produced to retain key native properties, with growth factors suited for repopulation by Fibroblasts and keratinocytes.

Vascular grafts

Biological, resorbable vascular grafts are under development by the CXC Biosciences team, with the goal of producing strong, safe, integrating long-term grafts for a variety of procedures
